Gum Grafting

Dental implants require adequate gum thickness to maintain bone around them.

If the area where an implant is needed or wanted does not have enough gum tissue, that area will need a gum graft placed first.

The gum graft will provide a blood supply for the bone around the implant.

A gum graft will also improve the appearance of your implant by preventing metal from being visible.

If you think you may need a gum graft and have questions, please request an appointment so that we may sit down and discuss it.
